What are your plans for New Year's Eve? [Dec. 30th, 2016|12:02 pm]

Poll #2060457 New Year's Plans

What are your plans for New Year's Eve?

Sophisticated party at a swanky hotel or restaurant
Intimate gathering with friends
Preparing for new consuls to assume office (ancient Rome only)
There will be gunfire, but the happy kind
DJ set for finance creeps in a Macau pleasure palace
I reject the Gregorian calendar and all its false glamour
I will be abed long before midnight, you can count on it
Realizing with dawning horror that the date is arbitrary

While I reject the Gregorian calendar, husband, while is down with all the other ~Jew stuff~ does not, so we'll actually be celebrating in a house get together with friends/family.

That sounds pretty good! I'm doing the same thing. I've never been a big New Year's person.

I've invited my aunt over for beef & barley stew, but she appears to be busy doing other things, so Mike and I will read some P. G. Wodehouse until he gets tired, then I'll watch a movie. Whoopee!

PG Wodehouse party!

That sounds pretty good, actually. Some friends had a little party I went to, and we had a middle-aged person good time playing a board game called "Secret Hitler" that I recommend unreservedly.

None of the above. Rather raucous party with some family was how I spent mine
